Reporting a loss or damage claim

• Individual sick note with loss of salary (for private individuals)

• Sickness daily allowance (for companies)
• Sickness daily allowance (for companies – medical certificate)

Obligation to continue payment in the case of sickness or pregnancy (Swiss Code of Obligations, Art. 324a)

The employment contract is decisive for continued pay in the case of sickness. Provided that the employment contract or the collective employment contract does not provide for a more favourable regulation, and there is no company or individual sickness daily allowance insurance of the company, which insures at minimum 4/5 of the salary, then the continued pay of the salary in the case of sickness or pregnancy shall be guided by the Berne Scale, the Zurich Scale or the Basel Scale.
